Bellfield Centre to Torbrex Identified risks, 2 roads to cross without dedicated crossing, both 20mph roads with good visibility. Mitigate risk by taking our time to wait for a suitable gap. 1. Leave from the Bellfield Centre and head towards the rear of the main hospital, follow the zebra crossings and turn left when over the main entrance road. Continue along to join Bellfield Road and walk to its end 2. Turn right onto Newhouse/St Ninians Road but then cross at the pelican crossing towards Beechwood Park. Turn right before the park entrance to skirt the fence line following the path till it crosses Rose Cottage and then on to Newhouse, the section set back from the main road. Follow the pavement round to the left to join Ogilvie Road. 3. Walk down Ogilvie Road, then take a right on to Charles St, follow to the end of Charles St and then turn right onto Whitehall Place and follow round. 4. At the end of Whitehall Place, turn right onto Laurelhill Place, then immediately cross Laurelhill Place to the other side. Turn left down Snowdon Place Lane, parallel to the Tennis Club. 5. Follow to the end of Snowdon Place Lane and the turn right onto Park Terrace, Cross Snowdon Place and then turn left at the path through the grass bank to cross Kings Park Road (no dedicated crossing) 6. Enter Kings Park through the main gate at the Tennis courts and then turn left, at the fork take the left fork to follow the ‘back walk’ marked path. 7. Follow the gravel path for approx 6 mins, then turn left to follow the path through the archway. On the other side, cross Douglas Terrace to carry on to Park Place/Birkhill Road, after a few minutes cross Birkhill Road (no dedicated crossing) to enter Coney Park, after a few minutes cross Coney Park and go down the Coney Park Cul-de-Sac. 8. There is a narrow cut through path at the end, follow this path through and continue on it heading towards Kenningknowe Community Woodlands, crossing Coney Park once more. The path winds through the woods, continue on the main path with no turns. 9. At the end emerge onto Polamise Road and then at the crossing go over to Springwood Ave, at the junction after a few mins cross Springwood Ave and turn right onto Cedar Ave. 10. At the top of the first hill, opposite Deroran Place follow the path through the houses onto Laburnum Grove when you reach the road cross on to the pavement and follow the curve of Laburnum Road until you reach another path through the houses with a brick wall between numbers 61 and 63. 11. At the top of this path turn left and follow the path behind the High School between the tall Beechwood hedges, at the end Turn right through the gap in the wall and enter Beechwood Park follow the main path through the park keeping the old pavilion on your left, go through the gate and head towards the pelican crossing at Newhouse/St Ninians Road, Cross back over to head back down Bellfield Road and then back towards the hospital following the path and zebra crossings to return to the Bellfield Centre. Finish.
