Every May, we celebrate National Walking Month with 31 days dedicated to the power of walking.
Throughout National Walking Month, we raise awareness about the incredible benefits of walking. A daily walk helps you connect with nature, reduce stress, and boost your physical, social and mental wellbeing.
Each year, we provide daily inspiration with walking calendars packed with tips, ideas, and challenges. From gentle 10-minute strolls to sunset walks and wildlife spotting, each day offers a new experience.
Beyond individual action, we are calling for councils and government to help make walking and wheeling easier for everyone. We need them to invest in walkable neighbourhoods, projects and policies that put people first.
Each May, we share information about all the ways you can get involved. From joining a local Health Walk with friendly faces or doing a team Step Count Challenge with colleagues and friends.
