Walking isn’t only good for our physical, social and mental health. It’s also good for our communities, the environment and the economy.
We support and inspire people in Scotland to walk and wheel more.
Walk. Connect. Change your world.
The top destination for walking tips, tools and inspiration.
Walk meets from 10.35am for 10.45am start. Meet inside Gourock Train Station. We offer 2 options on this walk – a standard 1 hour walk or our shorter Stroll option. The standard Health Walk group usually walk towards Battery Park or Gourock Yacht Club. Our walks are aimed at those who are inactive and looking to become more active, or those who might already be quite active but who wish to walk with a friendly group. We have a number of walk leader volunteers on this route and can adapt our pace to suit whoever comes along. We offer both our standard Health Walk (1 hour) and a shorter, gentler, ‘Stroll’ option for those who need a shorter walk. The Stroll group often do between 30-40 minutes and stop for regular rests. We offer a monthly social after the walk where we have coffee and cake and a quiz in a nearby church hall after the walk. Before attending your first walk with us please contact our project co-ordinator Jenni Murray to register: jenni@lylegateway.com or call 07474786428, Once registered you can then attend any of our walks for free as often as you wish.
