We continue to make changes to improve the user experience and meet accessibility standards.

Measures to support accessibility

Accessibility is included within our internal policies. We try to make our website easy to use by having:

  • accessible fonts and colours
  • keyboard navigation to access most of the website
  • clearly written content
  • alternative text for images
  • form accessibility.

This website works with most modern browsers (like Chrome, Edge and Safari).

Accessibility Toolbar

When visiting our website, you can use the ReciteMe  toolbar to customise and view your website content in a way that suits you. The toolbar allows you to:

  • change font size, style and colour on any page
  • magnify areas of a page and set a reading ruler or mask
  • adjust the colour contrast of a page
  • read sections of text aloud and download audio files
  • translate text into different languages.

You can access the toolbar by clicking on the person symbol at the top right side of our website menu.

Read the ReciteMe toolbar user guide.

Accessibility efforts and disclaimer

We are always working to improve the accessibility of our website. However, it’s possible that some content has not yet been fully aligned with accessibility standards. This could be because we have not found the best solution to improve a user’s experience.

Feedback

We’re always looking to improve what we do and welcome your feedback.

If you cannot access any parts of the website or want to tell us about an accessibility problem, please contact us. Email hello@walkingscotland.org.uk. We will reply to you within 5 working days if a response is requested.
