Walking isn’t only good for our physical, social and mental health. It’s also good for our communities, the environment and the economy.
We support and inspire people in Scotland to walk and wheel more.
Walk. Connect. Change your world.
The top destination for walking tips, tools and inspiration.
Walk meets from 6.50pm for 7pm start. Meet outside Royal West of Scotland Amateur Boat Club and walk ends up back here for free coffee/tea afterwards. We usually do a 1 hour walk along the Esplanade and back. Our walks are aimed at those who are inactive and looking to become more active, or those who might already be quite active but who wish to walk with a friendly group. We have a number of walk leader volunteers on this route and can adapt our pace to suit whoever comes along. There are benches along teh route and we can usually access the toilets within the Boat Club. There are also toilets at the other end of the Esplanade. Before attending your first walk with us please contact our project co-ordinator Jenni Murray to register: jenni@lylegateway.com or call 07474786428, Once registered you can then attend any of our walks for free as often as you wish.
