Walking isn’t only good for our physical, social and mental health. It’s also good for our communities, the environment and the economy.
We support and inspire people in Scotland to walk and wheel more.
Walk. Connect. Change your world.
The top destination for walking tips, tools and inspiration.
Garnethill Multicultural Centre is the focal point of community activity for the residents of Glasgow City Centre, which includes Garnethill, Blythswood, Broomielaw, Dundasvale and beyond. Come and join us for a community walk! Make new friends, get fit and explore the local area in and around Glasgow City Centre. Walks are open to all – no experience required! We currently run 3 weekly community walks: Community Health Walk: Tuesday 11am-12/12.30pm Dementia & Mobility Friendly Walk: Tuesdays 11am-11.40am Weekend Wander: Saturdays 11-1pm (weekend times can vary depending on group availability & weather. Please check with us before coming along!). Give us a call on 0141 332 9765 or 07753663105 to check that the walk is going ahead, the start point and for details on how to register. We look forward to walking with you! Our walks are different each week & usually take 1 hour or less – sometimes we wander round Garnethill, or down the canal to Hamiltonhill Claypits. If we are going slightly further (Kelvin Walkway, Botanic Gardens) we sometimes get the bus to the start point.
