Walking and wheeling at Scotland’s party conferences

Ahead of the Scottish Parliament election in May, we’ve been engaging with decision makers to ensure walking and wheeling are recognised as national priorities.

Across Scotland’s main political party conferences, we spoke with MSPs, candidates and stakeholders about the role walking and wheeling play in tackling some of the biggest challenges we face.

Walking and wheeling are more than just ways we get around. They’re key to strengthening Scotland’s economy, improving our health and creating happier communities.

We used these conversations to highlight our 4 key manifesto asks, including the need for sustained investment and action to make it easier for everyone to walk and wheel every day.

As party manifestos are finalised, we’ll be looking for clear commitments that reflect the importance of walking and wheeling.

We’ll continue working with all parties to ensure walking and wheeling are embedded in the next Parliament’s priorities, helping to build a fairer, healthier and greener Scotland.
