We’re shortlisted for a Community Impact Award

We’re thrilled that our Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) is shortlisted at The Herald Scottish Impact Awards 2026.

The project will help young people walk and wheel more throughout the school day.

We’re working with the University of Stirling, with support from the Universities of Edinburgh and the Highlands and Islands. Together, we’re exploring creating a digital tool that makes walking and wheeling feel fun and easy.

Walking and wheeling more throughout the school day improves young people’s physical, social and mental health. It also contributes to better learning outcomes.

We’ve been exploring how we can help young people to build simple habits to walk and wheel more as well as encourage positive attitudes to walking and wheeling. By involving young people in the project from the start, we’re working with them to match their needs and interests.

The awards will be taking place on Thursday 1 October. Well done to everyone involved in the project!
