Walking isn’t only good for our physical, social and mental health. It’s also good for our communities, the environment and the economy.
We support and inspire people in Scotland to walk and wheel more.
Walk. Connect. Change your world.
The top destination for walking tips, tools and inspiration.
Susan began walking a few years ago to support her own health when she was looking after a family member.
Since then, her love for walking has continued to grow, leading her to volunteer as a Walk Leader. Now, Susan leads weekly group walks, getting to know those in her community.
“It’s a really good experience, and I really enjoy it.”
Susan loves the social elements of the walking group. With a wide range of ages attending, it’s a great way to meet new people. She’s learnt plenty about her local area from others in the group too. The group stay enthusiastic even when faced with poor weather. They don’t let wind or rain stop them from getting out.
“We don’t let the weather put us off…we are very proud of that fact!”
